There will be a meeting at the Newburyport Public Library, June 25th, 10:00 a.m. that every resident who lives inside the National Register of Historic Places should attend. In case of doubt, look for the beautiful signs on High, State, Merrimac and Water Streets. If you live behind those signs, you’re in it!
Residents often think that everything that is known about historic houses in particular their own, has been plainly revealed and well documented.
There is so much hidden history and all it takes is a determined home owner to dig and reveal, often to the amazement of all, the history about their house.
The Newburyport Historical Commission is seeking CPA funds to find more about each of the homes in the big NHD (Newburyport Historic District). Citizens can help greatly by digging into it themselves.
This Session at the Library is hosted by the Preservation Trust.
(Which can provide fancy plaques if you work with them on the history (Cool)) To find out about their plaque and historical documentation efforts, click this link here.
Lawyers all the time get paid fancy fees for doing what you will learn at this class. How much less expensive than to do it yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t miss this important class on doing your own research!
