Advocacy Page

It’s not complete but should be by New Year’s.

2015 is going to be a rough year politically.     Those who are ‘righteous**’ are going to be kicking up a lot of dust and fire and smoke if they want to see a bright future for the city.      Right now, the citizens are largely asleep, peacefully unaware of the smouldering destruction that may soon await them, with not even a hint of a nightmare.

If you want to be one of those who want to see the City have a bright future, you can’t be in the ‘agin’ it’ crowd just because you are afraid or have an uneasy feeling.       The Bulldozer has seen to it that all that will end up happening is the feeling of irrelevancy and of being swept away.       You can’t just scream and squawk, you’ve got to identify the real problems, have the tools to deal with those problems and to have a solution that is realistic and doable.

Many will know the problem, and most will know the solution, but in most cases, they don’t have the tools to do anything about it.

I have provided the Advocacy Page with all the equipment that an advocate’s toolbox should contain.        This is what I have been using and many in town have used in the past – and if you want to make a difference, you will too.

** Righteous used to mean ‘doing right’ or ‘being right’ but it has often boiled down in modern usage as ‘self-righteous’.    Of course, the political left continue to practise moral equivalency and so for them there is no such thing as ‘being right’ for a PC practitioner.    So let me clarify things.   In my case, I am using it for all those who want to benefit our community not exploit it.

  1. Is there a mechanism for informing like-minded “activists” of pertinent govt mtgs? Will this site endeavour to bring together members in a brick-and-mortar place for information sharing? How are solutions to be achieved?
