A Most Valuable Video

I was deeply saddened by the loss of the HMS Bounty off Cape Hateras this week.      The outpouring of concern for the crew and the ship literally jammed their Facebook page and website.      It is up and running now and they are still giving updates as to the tragedy.     The link is here.

It is unpleasant when we see a car accident on the road and yet, if someone you know is involved in that incident, it is quite another thing!      Since the ship and her crew were just here this summer, it feels as it may to many others in town, that we have a bonding with them.

Kathy Heywood went and filmed on the ship and then later, I came aboard and interviewed some of the crew.        It is now on the PortMedia computer system.     I will definitely make a special effort in the next week or so to format it so everyone in town can watch it.    For those who don’t get cable, I will have it up on the Internet via the video page on www.ppreservationist.com.

It is the least we can do to honor them during this troubling time and to remember in memorial the loss of a crew member and the Captain.
