Death Watch Day One

It is sad when our historic treasures are being trashed for personal convenience.      I have already documented the plenty of room around this building for moving.     I have already shown the lack of excuses.       As anyone opposing the local historic district ordinance in Newburyport can clearly see, people do and people will remove our national heritage, “Because they can.”

Therefore, as a massive object lesson to us all, when a community ceases to care about the very treasures that makes that town or city of great value; those things become lost for ever.

And in the end, our loss of heritage is just the beginning of the destruction of us all as a society:

We’ll watch and  we will weep.
