Medical Malpractice

Well, not exactly – more like Mortgage Malpractice.

Could you picture a doctor doing an exploratory on a patient.     Instead of making a small incision or examining the affected parts of the body, the doctor went crazy and slit the patient from head to toe yanking out the organs until nothing was left but the bones and skin!       And then, taking the skin off!

Sounds more like an episode from Halloween than a proper operation!

And yet, that is the new trick by developers who are feeding off our prosperity.       These outsiders have no idea how to restore an historic house nor do they want to learn.

The object: “Create a situation where the City has no choice but to grant a full demolition.”

THEN THEY CAN BUILD A NEW HOUSE IN ITS PLACE.’

They will take out the windows and leave the house exposed to humidity and dampness. Hancock destruction
They will take the sheathing off and expose the frame to make sure New England weather finishes it off. 3-5 Pine Exploratory

We need the City’s version of the American Medical Association: our building inspector, to levy fines on these ‘dogs’.      If he won’t do it, I’d like to know who in the state could be contacted.

Then we need City Council working with the Building Department to tighten up the definition of an ‘Exploratory’ so we can stop these cynical attacks on the Newburyport Historic District.
